Are you getting that feeling that you don't have control? It may be that your horse 'forgets' his brakes, perhaps at exciting moments or when the pressure is on. Or even worse, have you been bolted with?
This is a terrifying experience where you, your horse and the public are in danger. It must be stopped!
This is where the STOPTHATHORSE comes in. Developed to assist control of strong horses and working on a ‘gag’ principle, it will enable you to work your horse safely and under control, knowing you have ‘extra’ brakes if needed.
You can use The ‘Stopthathorse’ with your normal bridle and bit however we would strongly recommend use with a snaffle type bit (not curb action e.g Pelham). The use of double reins is ideal so the rider can ride on the ‘bit’ rein as normal and use the ‘STH’ rein if required, however you can also choose to use the device with only one rein.
We recommend that the rider is ‘experienced’ and has developed an ‘independent seat and hands’ and uses the device under the guidance of an experienced trainer.
